Dr. Koppula has been practicing medicine for the last 40 years. She completed her fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at Rush Presbyterian St. Luke's Medical Center in 1997.
She was awarded the Alan Freiberg Research Award for her research on eosinophils (a major cell involved in asthma pathology). She is double Board Certified in Pediatric and Adult Allergy and Immunology and also American Board of Obesity Medicine. She was also Board certified in Internal Medicine which she practiced for 15 years before specializing in Allergy and Immunology.
Dr Koppula is deeply immersed in the science of medicine but uses a more holistic approach to treatment, respecting the individual patient’s beliefs and working closely together to produce the best outcomes.
Dr. Koppula also enjoys painting, photography, yoga, swimming, dance and studying neuroscience and quantum mechanics.. To see some of her work, click here.
